How VI Peel Works

The VI Peel fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, reduces pore size and improves the appearance of acne scars. This peel will help your skin turn over new cells revealing tighter, brighter skin. There is very little down time with the VI Peel, which was designed to not interrupt your daily life. Treatments also come with a post peel kit that includes a cleanser, SPF 50, post-peel protectant and post-peel pads. Days 1 and 2 post peel there is no peeling, which typically kicks in on day 3 and lasts just a few days. By day 5 there may be some residual peeling that is completely manageable. No, the VI Peel needs to be administered under the care of a licensed Practitioner. Not having the education, understanding and experience of the application of the VI Peel can cause damage to the skin and lead to possible serious adverse events.

Why am I not peeling? Is this normal?

There are many reasons why you may not see the peeling. Even if you can’t see something with the naked eye, the VI Peel is still working for you and exfoliating at the cellular level to brighten and improve your skin’s appearance. If you have further questions or concerns, we highly recommend you return to your Practitioner. In some cases, an impacted stratum corneum may result in no peeling. It may take 2 or more treatments to break this down. Also, oily skin that is not degreased thoroughly may impede the solution from penetrating.

How many days after I peel can I start exercising?

You need to refrain from activities that raise the body temperature significantly and can induce sweating for 72-96 hours (3-4 days). Inducing excessive perspiration/sweating may cause blistering or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation in the skin.
