Are treatments safe and what does it feel like?

Yes, local numbing cream is applied for 45 minutes prior to treatment to minimize any discomfort and the procedure is then virtually painless. Treatment may feel hot in places and there may be a tingling or burning sensation afterwards.

Plasma IQ Pen technology has been used worldwide for several years. There have been occasional reports of temporary post-treatment hyper pigmentation (darkening of skin) but no other adverse events have been reported. However, with any procedure involving the skin, there is always the possibility of micro-scars but this depends on your skin.

Are there any treatment side-effects?

Following your Plasma IQ treatment, tiny dark brown/black spots may appear or there may be an appearance more typical of a burn. This is normal.

Significant swelling (especially around the eyes) is completely normal, and you can expect it to last for up to a week. The area will often be red and warm immediately after the procedure and can be quite tender for a few days. This is completely normal.

What do I do for aftercare?
