What is miraDry® Treatment Like?

Before your treatment begins, local anesthesia will be administered to ensure your maximum comfort. Our provider will mark the treatment area with a temporary tattoo. Once your underarms are numbed and prepared, the miraDry® handpiece will be applied directly to your skin. You may feel slight suction as your skin and sweat glands are brought closer to the surface. Thermal energy is then delivered to heat and eliminate the sweat and odor glands.

Is There Any Downtime After miraDry® Treatment?

Most patients find the miraDry® treatment painless due to the local anesthesia administered to the underarms. You can undergo treatment and resume your normal activities on the same day. You may experience temporary swelling, soreness, tingling, and numbness in the treated area, which typically resolve within a week.

When Will I See Results from My miraDry® Treatment?
