Your Treatment Plan & What to Expect

Most patients benefit from a series of three sessions spaced about a month apart, though your provider will tailor this based on your skin’s condition and your goals. Treatments can be performed at any time of year, and results continue to build as your body produces new collagen between sessions.

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment, and a cold air or roller device is often used to ease any heat sensation during the procedure. Afterward, expect redness and mild swelling, similar to a sunburn, along with the possibility of pinpoint bleeding or light bruising, all of which are a normal part of the healing process.

Sensitive skin should be treated gently in the days following treatment, avoiding sun exposure for about two weeks and using only the products your provider recommends. Initial improvement can appear within the first month, with final results typically visible around six months as collagen rebuilding completes, and results generally lasting two to three years with annual maintenance.
