Its active ingredient, deoxycholic acid, is a naturally occurring compound in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.


By injecting Kybella® into the chin area, the deoxycholic acid breaks down excess fat, facilitating its removal from the body. This process can lead to noticeable improvements in facial profile with as few as one treatment session.

    Kybella® can be an excellent option for individuals seeking to address stubborn chin fat without surgery. It's important to note that Kybella® specifically targets fat and does not address loose skin under the neck. During your consultation, we will help determine if Kybella® is the right treatment option for you.

  • What is the Kybella® treatment like??

    We typically administer Kybella® injections with the assistance of a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort during the procedure. This involves multiple injections into and around the chin area. A typical Kybella® treatment session lasts less than 30 minutes, making it a convenient "lunch-time" cosmetic procedure.

  • Is there any downtime after Kybella® injections?

    There is minimal downtime after Kybella® injections. Most patients can undergo treatment and resume normal activities the same day. However, you may experience temporary swelling or bruising in the treatment area, which typically resolves within a week or two.

  • When will I see results from my Kybella® treatment?

    Results from Kybella® become visible over the weeks following treatment as the formula begins breaking down fat cells under the chin.
