Boosting Human Growth Hormone

What are peptides?

Peptides are chains of amino acids that improve cell signaling in the body. There are currently dozens of peptides used in the U.S., Japan and Europe. In fact, insulin was the first peptide approved in the US. A peptide is just a name for a protein with fewer amino acids than a protein.

What are some of your most commonly used peptides?

Sermorelin, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295

These peptides all function to boost growth hormone production in your body. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) peaks at about age 20 and steadily declines as we age.  Unfortunately, HGH is extremely expensive and has significant risks with long-term use (and is often illegally obtained). As an alternative, we prefer peptide therapy with Growth Hormone Releasing Factors such as Sermorelin/Ipamorelin/CJC-1295.

What could these peptides do for me?

  1. Less Fat/More Muscle: peptides can help to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight. When combined with exercise, they can improve lean muscle mass and help your body burn fat more efficiently. No, you cannot eat poorly and avoid exercise and still lose weight….sorry.
  2. Sleep: some peptides can help restore a normal sleep cycle.
  3. Improved Athletic Recovery
  4. Improved Healing from injury or surgery
  5. Anti-Aging: peptides can make skin appear firmer or tighter and improve muscle fullness for a more youthful appearance and lifestyle
  6. Improved Bone Strength
  7. Improved Mental Clarity and Memory

How Will I Know It’s Working? How long does it take to work?

Typically, within a few weeks, you should see improved sleep, energy, and recovery from exercise. Full effects such as decreased fat and improved muscle mass can take 3-6 months.

Do I Need To Take It Forever?

Dr. Gentry recommends a minimum of 90-120 days. It is safe for most patients to take these peptides indefinitely if recommended by your physician.

Is it safe?

Our peptides are manufactured in the U.S., in FDA approved pharmacies. Also, because these peptides boost your own HGH production and release, they are much safer than taking HGH directly.

Peptide Therapy vs. Human Growth Hormone Therapy

So, if all of these medical issues are the result of Human Growth Hormone, why take these peptides instead of HGH? The main reason is, unlike HGH, they do not suppress your own HGH production. These peptides also minimize the risks associated with HGH therapy such as abnormal blood sugar/diabetes or cholesterol, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint pain, and other issues.

Who Should not take these peptides?

If you are currently taking corticosteroids such as Prednisone or thyroid medication, please let your doctor know. Those who have known cancer should avoid using any medication or hormone therapy that encourages the production of Human Growth Hormone. Women that are pregnant should not take Sermorelin or any Human Growth Hormone Therapy as it has never been studied for safety in pregnant women.

How much does it cost?

As of 2/9/21, the cost of most peptide therapy is about $400 for a 60 day supply.

How do I get started?

You will need to discuss your health conditions and goals with Dr. Gentry to determine if peptide therapy is right for you. This may require additional blood work.
