BOTOX® and Dermal Fillers Services
With so many different injectable options on the market and so many areas that can be treated, we know it can be confusing. Below we explain the difference between Neurotoxins and Dermal Fillers to help you get a better idea of which treatment is right for you.
Botox®/Dysport®/Daxxify®/Xeomin® are neurotoxins that work by blocking the nerve impulse that controls muscle movement, thereby temporarily restricting the ability to contract the facial muscles. Without movement of these selected muscles in the face, certain wrinkles can be softened, reduced, or even eliminated! Untreated muscles still work normally, so you can continue to express feelings naturally. Neurotoxins are injected to help smooth the appearance of wrinkles and are generally used to treat the upper face in areas such as frown lines, forehead, and crow’s feet. The results from neurotoxin injections last between 3-4 months and then need to be repeated.
Dermal Fillers: As we age, we lose the volume, collagen, and elastin in our face. The tissues under the skin also start to thin. Dermal fillers can help restore lost volume and even stimulate collagen production by being injected beneath the surface of the skin. They can help correct facial wrinkles and folds in your mid and lower face and fine lines. Filler can also be injected in the lips to plump and replace volume loss. The dermal fillers we inject are comprised of hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in the body and hydrates and adds volume to the skin. Depending on which filler you use, results can last 9-18 months.

DAXXIFY® Q&A
WHAT IS DAXXIFY®?
Daxxify is FDA approved to help smooth moderate to severe lines between the brows (aka frown lines or “11s”). Daxxify has a similar mechanism and active ingredient to the other brands of neuromodulators such as Botox or Dysport.
HOW IS DAXXIFY® DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FROWN LINE TREATMENTS?
Daxxify uses a peptide to help improve duration of the active ingredient. Results lasted an average of 6 months in clinical studies.
HOW MANY UNITS WILL I NEED? HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Although all of the wrinkle relaxing medications have similar mechanisms, the dosing is different based on the brand and your particular concerns. We offer complimentary consults for aesthetic treatments to ensure that you will receive the optimal treatment for your specific needs.
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are all priced per unit. Our expert injectors can discuss optimal dosing for your concerns. Daxxify is priced per area of the face. As always, our VIP members will receive special discounts.
Does Daxxify contain any animal products?
Daxxify does not contain any human or animal byproducts.
IS DAXXIFY® SAFE?
Daxxify was stufied in over 2800 people across different ages, genders, and skin types without any reported serious adverse effects. Daxxify uses a similar active ingredient to the existing brands on the market.
DO LONG-LASTING RESULTS MEAN POTENTIALLY LONG-LASTING SIDE EFFECTS?
Daxxify is well-studied, with no serious treatment-related side effects seen in large-scale clinical trials.
HOW LONG DOES DAXXIFY LAST?
The clinical studies showed at least 50% of patients had minimal or no frown lines (aka “11s”) at 6 months. These same studies showed 3-5% of patients had results lasting up to 9 months! The existing treatments such as Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, and Jeuveau typically last about 3-4 months.Results will vary based on your individual needs and how rapidly you break down the medication.
HOW IS DAXXIFY® DIFFERENT FROM FACIAL FILLERS, ALSO KNOWN AS DERMAL FILLERS?
Daxxify works to minimize the appearance of wrinkles by relaxing the muscles of the face that cause these wrinkles. Facial fillers (aka dermal fillers) are usually hyaluronic acid and are used to restore volume of the face.
** Think about the face as a bed: wrinkle relaxers smooth the sheet, whereas fillers improve the mattress below.
WILL I SEE RESULTS QUICKLY?
You may start to see results with Daxxify as early as the next day after treatment, and typically within 2-3 days.
